Aqua Aura is a project born in Milan in 2009. After the studies at the Art High School, the artist took a university degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, with a thesis on: “Anselm Kiefer. The Other Baroque: an Overview on the Contemporary German Expressionism”.
Spinning all over the world, Aqua Aura training path continues with voyages inside museums, in research laboratories and across the immense spaces of natural environment. His research feeds into a large range of study fields and issues, from astrophysics to particle physics, bio-genetics, philosophy and psychology of perception. In particular, he began collaborating and exchanging experiences in the field of scientific research images with ARISLA Foundation (Italian Research Foundation for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), deepening the study on genesis and development of scientific images.
In the last years, his art language mainly moved between photography and digital art. He had exhibitions in many institutions, galleries and museums at the national and international level, such as Berlin, Istanbul, Barcelona, Maastricht and Helsinki. Moreover, he was involved in numerous art fairs in Italy and Europe. The latest developments in his work have led him, in addition to the photographic medium, to new art languages, through the making of short movies, documovies, Video-Art works and finally, to the making of installations and video sculptures. As guest speaker, he has attended numerous conferences on contemporary art and scientific research in general. He gives lectures on photography and contemporary art in private arts and photography schools and foundations.
Having previously worked and lived between Milan and Akureyri (Iceland), he definitively settled in Milan, where he now lives with his Norwegian Forests cat.
